Broccoli Bouquet

I’ve been keeping an eye on the broccoli all week, hoping the heads would size up a little before it started to flower.

However, this past weekend, I noticed the broccoli was just on the verge of flowering, so I decided to just go ahead and pick it.

Don’t get me wrong, I love homegrown broccoli…but I have to say that I was a little bit disappointed in this year’s harvest. It seemed like a lot of plant and garden space for such a meager amount. I think I’ll take a break from growing it next year.

However, the cabbages are still looking great! I’m anticipating lots of kimchi for this winter 🙂

  1. Sorry the yield on your broccoli wasn’t great, but it looks so fresh and delicious! I couldn’t help but notice your chalkboard door behind you in one of the photos – what a fantastic, cute idea!
